Marillenknödel
July and August are the perfect (and only) months to head to the Wachau for Marillenknödel (apricot dumplings). After the apricot harvest in early July the race is on to eat as many as you can before the restaurants run out. Today we drove to the Wachau for our last Marillenknödel run. We'll return to the valley next month for Sturm and fresh marmalade. I love the Wachau because it never stops giving.
